Saddle & Soil Academy

Saddle & Soil Academy

Mission

At Saddle & Soil Academy, my mission is to make high-quality equine and agricultural education accessible to everyone—no matter where they live, what their budget is, or whether or not they own a horse.

Growing up, learning about horses wasn’t as simple as opening YouTube or enrolling in an online course. If I wanted to learn something new, I waited for trips to the library, saved up for books from the bookstore, or hoped my parents would get me yet another horse magazine subscription. Every article, every book, and every borrowed resource was treasured because information was hard to find.

That experience shaped the educator I wanted to become.

I was also incredibly blessed to grow up surrounded by agriculture. My family’s agricultural roots taught me that caring for animals isn’t just a hobby—it’s stewardship, responsibility, and a lifelong pursuit of learning. Programs like 4-H reinforced those values, giving me opportunities to learn by doing, develop leadership skills, and discover that good horsemanship is built on knowledge just as much as experience.

Today, the world has changed.

For the first time in history, a child living in a small town, a homeschool family, a first-generation horse owner, or someone simply dreaming of one day working with horses can access world-class education from anywhere. I believe that opportunity shouldn’t be limited by geography or finances.

That’s why Saddle & Soil Academy exists.

My goal is to break down complicated equine science into practical, understandable lessons while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Whether you’re a curious beginner, a homeschool student, a 4-H or FFA member, a college student, or someone returning to horses later in life, you’ll find resources designed to help you learn with confidence.

I believe education should be approachable, affordable, and rooted in respect for both horses and the people who care for them.

More than anything, I hope to inspire the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen—not simply to ride, but to understand. To ask questions. To think critically. To care deeply. And to become lifelong learners who will leave the horse industry stronger than they found it.

This is where horses, land, and learning meet.
